Gustav Klimt was an early twentieth-century artist and founder of the Vienna Secession. He is most famous for his paintings. However, he also produced some notable sculptures and wrote many poems. Through all of these artistic media, one can see a common deep-rooted theme throughout his art: the control and power of women.
